What do I need to use it?
Owner packets exported from AppFolio as text-based PDFs, in the standard layout: Cash Flow, Trial Balance, Residential Activity and Check Register. Scanned or image-only PDFs cannot be read.
Will it work with my chart of accounts?
Yes. Add the Chart of Accounts report exported from AppFolio (Excel or CSV) and Keyledger finds your main cash account, your reserve and deposit accounts and your expense accounts from it. Without a chart it assumes Cash is account 11000 and expenses are in the 5xxxxxx range. The chart reader is built around the layout of AppFolio's export and has been tested on made-up data, so tell us if anything reads wrong.
Is my data sent anywhere?
No. The tool processes your files inside your browser tab and makes no network requests. Settings you save, such as your manager list and thresholds, are stored in your browser on your own device.
Does it replace my review?
No. It is a review aid. It can miss things and it can flag items that turn out to be fine. You remain responsible for your accounting and trust accounting compliance.
Is this connected to AppFolio?
No. Keyledger is independent and works only with PDFs you export yourself. It does not connect to your AppFolio account.
How do I get the files?
Lemon Squeezy emails you a download link after checkout. The download page also stays available in your order receipt.
What if it does not work for me?
Email us. If we cannot sort it out, you can have your money back within 14 days. See the refund policy.
